Stop Building Someone Else’s Legacy and Start Creating Your Own
Editors Note

Welcome to this issue of Digital Display Insider! In this issue, we will be giving you valuable information as you navigate the mobile digital billboard (M.D.B.) startup process.
This week, we’re diving into something a little different but incredibly powerful: taking control of your own story. Many professionals spend their careers building someone else’s legacy, but what if you could take the skills and expertise you’ve gained to build something of your own? We’ll explore what it means to become the hero of your story, the bravery it takes to step out on your own, and the legacy you can leave behind by creating something meaningful for yourself and your family.
It’s time to stop thinking and start doing. Rise strong, hustle hard, and leave a legacy. Let’s get started.

M.D.B. Startup Focus
Are You the Hero of YOUR Story?
Every great story has a hero—a protagonist who faces challenges, takes risks, and rises to greatness. But here’s the question: Are you the hero of your own story, or are you helping to build someone else’s? For many professionals who have spent their careers climbing the corporate ladder, the answer is sobering. They’ve reached high levels of success, but deep down, they know their efforts are building the legacy of someone else: the business owner, the shareholders, or the corporation.
If that resonates with you, it’s time to take a step back and ask: What would it take to become the hero of your own story?
The Call to Action: Rise Strong
The truth is, staying in a corporate job might feel safe, but safety isn’t always fulfilling. As someone who has spent years gaining expertise, managing teams, and driving results, you’ve built the skills to run a business—but are you doing it for yourself or for someone else? Imagine taking that same energy, that same drive, and channeling it into a venture where you have full control. The business becomes your legacy, something you can build to benefit your family, your community, and the causes you care about most.
Taking that step requires bravery. It’s not easy to leave the comforts of a regular paycheck and the familiarity of corporate life to start your own business. It’s a challenge, no doubt, but the reward is unparalleled: the freedom to control your future, the opportunity to create meaningful jobs for others, and the chance to leave an indelible mark on the world.
Every Hero Needs a Guide
If you’ve read or watched any great story, you know the hero doesn’t do it alone. From Luke Skywalker and Yoda to Frodo and Gandalf, every hero has a guide to help them navigate the challenges of their journey. As the hero of your story, you don’t have to take this leap alone, either.
My mission is to be that guide for new operators in the MDB community. Through this newsletter, my courses, workshops, and consulting, I’m here to help you overcome obstacles, make informed decisions, and build a business that becomes a legacy. I’ve been where you are. I know the risks, the fears, and the doubts that come with stepping out on your own. But I also know the rewards. I want to empower you to navigate this journey with confidence, clarity, and a plan that works.
The Hustle: Building Your Own Legacy
Entrepreneurship is the ultimate test of leadership and vision. It’s about creating something that can outlive you—a business that not only provides for your family but also contributes to the lives of others. When you own your own business, you’re not just creating income; you’re creating opportunities. For your customers, your employees, and eventually, your children and grandchildren, your business becomes the foundation of a legacy that will ripple across generations.
My personal mission is to build businesses that allow me to be irrationally generous. I want to empower leaders to run those businesses without me, ensuring they thrive long after I’m gone. My ultimate goal is to create resources that can pour into faith-based organizations and causes that are often overlooked by traditional funding. This is the kind of impact entrepreneurship can have—not just for you but for the world around you. Legacy Starts Here.
The Guide: Why Paying for Knowledge Is Worth It
Starting a business is a daunting journey, especially if it’s in an industry you haven’t personally worked in before. This is why I believe so strongly in the power of investing in knowledge upfront. Hiring a consultant or taking advantage of educational resources can save you years of trial and error and hundreds of thousands of dollars in costly mistakes. Money buys speed, lowers risk, and increases your chance of success.
If you’re serious about becoming the hero of your story, don’t let fear or lack of knowledge hold you back. Investing in guidance isn’t just a shortcut—it’s a safeguard. The most successful entrepreneurs aren’t afraid to pay for expertise because they know the return on that investment can be exponential.
Your Challenge: Leave a Legacy
You’ve already proven your ability to succeed by rising through the ranks of your career. Now it’s time to take the next step and use those skills to build something that’s truly your own. Rise strong, hustle hard, and leave a legacy.

LED Truck Financing Options
Financing Options: Lease Your LED Truck with Currency
I’m excited to announce that Legion LED Trucks has partnered with Currency to offer flexible financing and lease options for both new and used LED trucks! Whether you’re looking to start or grow your MDB business, these leasing plans provide an affordable way to get on the road with minimal upfront investment.
Leasing is an excellent option for operators who want to keep cash flow steady while upgrading their equipment regularly. With 36-, 48-, and 60-month turnback leases available, you can keep your fleet up to date without the commitment of long-term ownership. For example:
Lease a $150,000 truck for $4,665/month on a 36-month term or $3,626/month on a 48-month term.
A $200,000 truck can be leased for $6,221/month on a 36-month term, $4,835/month on a 48-month term, or $4,007/month on a 60-month term.
Payments can be customized based on your needs, with turnback options at the end of the lease.
To qualify, applicants need a minimum 670+ credit score and three months of bank statements. Additional requirements may apply. Financing is subject to credit approval, and terms may vary based on creditworthiness and truck selection.
This partnership is designed to make it easier than ever to grow your business without tying up capital. For more information or to explore your leasing options, contact us today!

From The Vault: Using LED Trucks to Leave MY Legacy
When I talk about leaving a legacy, it’s not just a catchy phrase—it’s something I’m deeply passionate about and actively pursuing in my own life. I believe we are called to give generously of our time, talents, and treasures. But generosity isn’t just about writing a big check or giving during Sunday service. It’s a mindset—a lifestyle of being generous in all three areas, even when it’s inconvenient or when we don’t feel like it. It’s in those moments of sacrifice that we make the greatest impact. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of using our LED trucks to live out this mission and support nonprofits and organizations doing incredible work in our community.
Chariots4Hope
For the past eight years, we’ve been honored to support Chariots4Hope (C4H) in their mission to provide reliable transportation to families in need. From hosting movie nights for their recipients to donating unused advertising spots on our routes to encourage car donations, our LED trucks have played a small but meaningful role in their work. Over the years, this partnership has amounted to tens of thousands of dollars in advertising value for C4H, helping them change lives one vehicle at a time.

50 Mile March
As we highlighted in a recent issue, the 50 Mile March is an annual walk from Lincoln to Omaha that raises awareness and funds for veterans facing homelessness and mental health challenges. Each year, our LED truck serves as the final vehicle in the convoy, displaying safety messages to alert approaching traffic. This added layer of security is essential to ensuring a safe journey for the participants. Additionally, we’ve donated ad space on our routes to promote the March, raising both funds and awareness for their mission.

Life.Church Omaha
As my home church, Life.Church Omaha holds a special place in my heart. While we support the church financially, our LED trucks allow us to give back in another meaningful way. Over the years, we’ve partnered with Life.Church to help amplify their message and connect with the community. Our LED truck has been used in parades to promote their popular "At The Movies" series in July, as well as Easter and Christmas Eve services. These campaigns have been instrumental in bringing new attendees into the church. Additionally, our LED trailer has been used for on-site promotions and events, further supporting their mission to reach people in Omaha.

These partnerships are a reminder of how versatile MDB trucks can be—not just as advertising tools but as vehicles for positive change. Whether it’s raising awareness, promoting events, or providing safety, the opportunities to support worthy causes are endless. For us, these projects are more than work—they’re part of our legacy.
If you’re inspired to use your LED truck to give back, start brainstorming ways to partner with nonprofits in your area. Together, we can create impact that goes far beyond advertising.
